Our Mission Statement:

Like its comic counterpart we here, at Cosmic Treadmill, are concerned with both the past and the future and we plan on spanning the wide spectrum of the industry. From the “Big Two” to any and all burgeoning companies and new imprints, our desire is to offer insight and fresh perspective on every corner of the comics world we can.

We live and breathe comics and right now it’s an exciting time to be involved. Relaunches, movie franchises and an ever growing pool of talent brought forth by the Internet there’s so much to explore and debate. The analysis here at CT will be warm, informative, insightful and hopefully at times witty and fun but above all honest. No matter what we discuss you can rely on upfront and frank discussion. We begin with comics but as we expand we hope to encompass much more,or orbiting topics will include animated shows, films and books to some degree. Retrospectives of classic series and story lines will also be featured as we dig deep into the rich legacy of this medium while never forgetting to keep as up to date as possible with new releases and the latest events. Already we’ve amassed an impressive interview list and we hope to continue in this tradition getting the biggest names in comics today while also highlighting up and coming talent. With the “Pencil and the Damage Done” a section updated weekly we’ll give the cream of the crop of the beautiful art which can be found on various blogs, which is very much the province of the artist in todays digital world.

When the initial set up work settles down we also plan to launch our very own comic through the site, the pulp-influenced, time travel epic “Doc Fossil”. It deals with the myriad and twisty adventures of a time travelling scientist couple. Past meets Future, Sparks fly. Oh with added dinosaurs!

Based in Ireland at a time when a homegrown comic industry is being built, makes this the perfect time for Cosmic Treadmill to emerge. It will allow us to view comics as not just an American-centric business but as a world wide prospect. It may be a treadmill which is known to keep a person in the one place but with the cosmic in our name we’re certainly going places!
